Claudio Manera, Chief Executive Officer, Araldica Castelvero s.c.a.
This commitment extends across more than 1,400 hectares of vineyards spread over four distinct hilly areas – Monferrato, Gavi, Langhe, and Roero – each defined by its own landscapes, exposures, and microclimates. Soil composition varies just as widely, shifting from clay and marl to limestone and sandy soils. These differences influence ripening times and varietal expression, and call for careful interpretation, precision, and continuity in vineyard work.
Managing such complexity is not simple. The challenge lies in ensuring that every member feels part of a shared project where grape quality always comes first.
For more than thirty years, every vineyard parcel has been individually assessed and classified, plot by plot, before being integrated into a programme that guides growers step by step through vineyard practices – from fertilisation and pruning to thinning and harvest. Interventions are coordinated in real time, based on continuous analysis of weather patterns, soil and climate conditions, and the seasonal progress of each winegrowing area.
