Cultivating shared value

Araldica Castelvero is a wine cooperative founded in 1954 in Castel Boglione, on the hills of Monferrato, Piedmont.

An agricultural model that places the work of its members, the quality of the supply chain, and the identity of the territory at its core. Today, we cultivate over 1,400 hectares – one of the largest vineyard areas in Piedmont – spanning Monferrato, Gavi, Langhe, and Roero.

Our cooperative brings together approximately 180 associated winegrowers and a team of over 100 people, all working every day to craft wines that balance accessibility, regional character, sustainability, and know-how.

We believe in responsible winegrowing, because for us, growth only has meaning when it is shared – with our members, our landscapes, and the people who shape them.

The cooperative, the method

A cooperative is a form of agricultural intelligence: it brings together experience, spreads know-how, and supports work in the vineyard. At Araldica, this choice becomes a method – technical assistance for members, clear grape-delivery criteria, process control, and a shared direction that balances production scale with attention to detail.

Research

The Araldica method is also grounded in research. Over the years, we have invested in winery facilities and technology to increase precision, expressive clarity, and control, while preserving the recognisability of grape varieties and territories. Ongoing collaboration with universities, oenology schools, and research centres supports a measured approach to experimentation – one that is results-driven and focused on the long term.

Our supply chain

Our supply chain is structured to follow the wine at every stage, from grape delivery through vinification, bottling, and distribution.

This structure ensures stylistic coherence and reliable quality across markets, from large-scale retail to the HoReCa channel, in Italy and abroad.

Work begins in the vineyard and continues in the cellar, where grape quality is assessed and directed towards different wine styles and quality tiers, allowing the portfolio to respond effectively to diverse markets and distribution needs.

Alongside our members’ vineyards, the cooperative also includes the estates Il Cascinone, La Battistina, Santa Seraffa, and San Bartolomeo – directly farmed properties managed with continuity, where dedicated viticulture and winemaking allow for more focused expressions of their respective territories.

Quality within reach

Araldica believes in the quality of Piedmont wines, not in their exclusivity. A truly great wine is one that people can afford – never ordinary or generic, but precise, expressive, and immediately enjoyable, suited to every occasion.

A wine made to be shared rather than reserved for a few, capable of conveying with ease and character the beauty of the landscapes it comes from, along with the hard work and passion that shape its soul.
