Roero Arneis

Colour / Colore:

Straw yellow.

Aroma / Profumo:

Citrus fruits and fresh almonds.

Palate / Gusto:

Medium-bodied, slightly savoury, green fruit flavours with a hint of almonds coming through again. Lovely zesty, dry white.

Region / Zona:

The Monferrato hills in the south of the province of Asti, Piemonte. South West aspects at altitudes between 250 and 400m. Limestone-clay soil.

Vineyard / Vigneto:

Piemonte low Guyot trellis. Planting density 4,000-4,500 vines/ha.

Wine making / Vinificazione:

5,000 Lt/ha. The fruit was hand harvested from 14th to 19th September. The wine was fermented under temperature control using EC 1118 yeast in stainless steel tanks and aged for 5 months prior to bottling.
