Straw

Aroma / Profumo:

Ripe pears and nuances of peach.

Palate / Gusto:

It is rich, and it has flavours of pears and peaches, zingy acidity, minerality and immensely long finish.

Region / Zona:

Small strip of land around the town of Gavi in Piemonte region. South aspects at altitudes between 180 and 250 m. Chalky mineral soil.

Vineyard / Vigneto:

Piemonte low Guyot trellis. Average age of vines 35 years. Planting density 4,000-4,500 vines/ha.

Wine making / Vinificazione:

6,600 Lt/ha. The fruit was hand harvested from 22nd to 30th September. Stainless steel tank fermented under temperature control using R2 yeast.
