Piemonte Cortese

Colour / Colore:

Pale with green hints.

Aroma / Profumo:

Grapefruit and minerals.

Palate / Gusto:

Light-bodied, fresh, crisp citrus-fruited white. Ideal with fish or on its own as an aperitif.

Region / Zona:

The Monferrato hills in the south of the province of Asti, Piemonte. South West aspects at altitudes between 250 and 400m. Limestone-clay soil.

Vineyard / Vigneto:

Piemonte low Guyot trellis. Planting density 4,000-4,500 vines/ha.

Wine making / Vinificazione:

7,500 Li/ ha. The fruit was hand harvested from 22nd to 26th September. 100% tank fermented under temperature control using R2 yeast.
